A perfect Valentine gift for yourself or someone you care about!  Join us as we welcome our favorite Valentine, Steinway Artist Hsing-ay Hsu.

“Points of View: Pairing Music with Poetry, Wine & Improv”

How might a poetic image illuminate the music of Brahms? What does wine contribute to the experience of Debussy? Who will be brave enough to play in the audience music improv? *

Join Hsing-ay for a one of a kind of piano recital!
Also featured will be an original poem by Calleja Smiley Welsh and a wine tasting!

* Optional participation in a group music improv! Bring your acoustic instruments for Terry Riley’s “In C” abridged! We are exploring the idea of “literary second person point of view” through a 7-minute group music improv! Instructions can be found in the link below.

Let Hsing-ay know if you need her to bring a transposed part in E-flat, F, or B-flat by emailing her at thenutmegstudio@gmail.com. Forward to anyone you think would want to experiment. No musical training necessary!

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students through high school. Tickets can be purchased online and also at the door the night of the performance. Parking is always free.

Hsing-ay is also the Artist in Residence for the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. She will be performing a program with members of the BCO on February 17 (at the Boulder Adventist Church) entitled, “A Triptych of Trios.” For more information, please click this link:
